no particular order
(gorgeous) Ferrari 250 GTO:
(screamin') Ferrari 360 GT:
(kick ass) Prodrive 550 GTS:
(not the fastest or toughest but just plain cool) TuscanR:
And if it's NA horsepower per literage that floats your boat Dustrman then how about the rx8's renesis rotary engine, 238 hp/1.3 L= 183 hp per liter versus the s2000's 120 hp/liter.

My favorite is Jaguar.
Here is the Jaguar XJR-12 which won the 1990 24 Hours of Le Mans. The XJR-12 has a 7.0 liter V-12 producing 730 hp at 7,000 rpm and 579 lb-ft of torque at 5,500 rpm. It has a top speed of 229 mph.
Here is the XJR-5's V-12. The XJR-5 has a 6.0 liter V-12 producing 650 hp at 7,500 rpm and 480 lb-ft of torque at 6,000 rpm. It has a top speed of 217 mph.
I also really like the Jaguar D-Type which won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1955, 1956, and 1957.
