Considering 2000+ GT or GT-Shairbandmanx 09-22-2004, 10:50 AM Hey everyone, I'm considering getting a Celica as my daily driver but I'd like some input from some owners. I've read about the positives of the car like the HP, styling, handling, but I'd like to hear about the every day impressions of the car. How are oil changes, how about rattles/squeaks, regular maintenence, cup holders, true fuel economy etc. I've test driven a GT 5speed and a GT automatic. No matter what trim I consider I'm getting a manual transmission. Have yet to experience the lift on a GT-S. Already tested an RSX (base) automatic and liked the Celica better but I guess that's not much of a fair comparison. I'd love to hear people's impressions of daily life with a Celica so thanx all! I appreciate whatever feedback I can get. SigmaProjects 09-23-2004, 03:14 PM I've driven my friends GT (auto) from my house to LA (about a 100 mile round trip) and it was pretty tight. Nice response on the high way for sure, handles great, and didn't hurt my ass for the long ride. But I haven't tried out a RSX. One thing though if you're going to get a celica either delete the wing when you buy one or get the larger one from a GT-S cuz it really sux to look through your rear view mirror at night since the head lights get blocked by the wing and you can't see the car behind you, really bad when in a small car....
