Red face Emissions--throttle/pedal position

After my emissions indicator light went on yesterday a test has revealed "code #122. throttle/pedal position sensor/switch A/ circuit low input." I have a vague idea of what this means but not really. Unfortunately when I got back home (it was about a 15 mile drive) the light came back on when I pulled into my driveway. It was in stop and go traffic yesterday when it came on, too, and I do feel an odd twitch in the gas pedal. My problem is money. I was lucky to have the test done very cheap today. I am wondering if anyone knows how serious this problem could be. I need to drive and I have no money. I will have some in a few weeks. Do you think I can drive safely? Also my vehicle is less than three years old--warranty? There are about 45,000 miles on it. The nearest Honda dealer is an hour away, too. Advice is much appreciated!
