240sx -- price advice

I'm thinking of buying a 240sx from a private owner and dont know a lot about these cars. Seems like a popular model by some of the things i've read so far. ANyways the one i'm looking at is a 95 with 140k miles. Very good condition no obvious defects overall seems very solid. What do you guys think about $3500 -- good deal or no?

THanks in advance. rey

Do you have to try to be a dick, or does it just come naturally?

To answer you question, it sounds like a pretty good deal to me. Check out KBB.com, that should give you a pretty good idea.

I'd say that's a great deal for an s14. They are very hard to come by, especially in good condition

Good price on that car if in good shape....most here will flame because they are just poor and pissed off they can't buy fun stuff too.

The people with all the money usually have the least knowledge on things they want to get into since they also have things like a job and responsibilities.

If you haven't seen my site at http://30moons.com/Nissan240SXIndex.php check it out....it will give you a nice breakdown year by year. I really want to get year by year current pricing up also but due to *responsibilities* I am just lucky to be able to have a beer and not be working at the same time ;)

I was able to order up my SPL tension rods, nismo brace, moog inner and kazama adj. outer tie rods, a S14 non-abs VLSD, working on finding the best place this week to order RS*R Race springs, KYB AGX, a set of boots, a set of upper mounts, and possibly strut tower braces and sways....but I may skip those last two to catch orlando for halloween at universal and sea world.

What is it with this guy? Dude, more people are jumping on the bandwagon, why are you getting all tied up? Are you feeling targeted?

Me? Dude I liked 240SX's since the first time I saw them, I was like in elemtary school, like 6-7 years ago. (Well first time I remember seeing one) It was a hatchback, I knew nothing about them except for one thing, I wanted one someday. I'm still waiting for that day, but let me tell you one thing, I've liked them way before they ever became "popular". 3 years ago, I talked about swapping in a Skyline engine into a 240. I talked to this guy who works at Nissan, my mom's friend. He sais he never heard of anything like that before. (To be fair he barely knew what a Skyline was.) But in any case, I'm not saying I was the first, far from that, but I thought about it before I heard of anyone else doing it. (Even though a few had done it, I'm sure) Anyways, the point is, I have a deep appreciation for 240's, you're the asshole who jumped on the bandwagon, now you're probably going to make fun of me cause you own one and I don't, and sure, go ahead, but we both know I know more about the S-chassis then you do, much more.

Oh, and I know you're going to go research some little detail that I won't know and that's just sad.

Settle down killer. Who cares if you got in on it before the "bandwagon" or not. It's all the same.

yeah yeah you know so much more about them than me...You think im gonna waste my time trying to find some small little detail that you dont know? Why would i do that i dont have to prove my self to you or anyone else. You can ask publicenemy i talk to him regularly he knows i know a great deal about the s chasis. Ever sice i got my s14 ive read, every free moment i have at home im reading about somthing to do with this car so dont think im ignorant.BUT anyways my mom bought one brand new in 95 i think that was way b.f the bandwagon and i fell in love with it the first time i got a ride. im not saying i know everything about them but i know a good deal. Im also not trying to bash your or play e thug im just saying why dont you lay off the noobs some of them might have intrest in building a nice tasteful car.

alright ENOUGH!

Bryant, it's really good to see you back man.

but the bickering needs to STOP!

especially between Jonas and Logik.

Jonas, if you don't like the way he does things or acts, PM him and keep your stupid bickering out of the public forums. this thread has been ruined and dragged way off topic, and so will many others if you keep doing this, so PM him!

anymore pointless bickering will be deleted from the thread that contains it.

thanks guys.

all talk am i?

then why does it say "banned" under your user-name?

hmm...doesn't seem like i'm all talk, does it?

i don't like to ban people, especially those who seem like they were a good member.

but ask, and ye shall receive.

anyways, this thread is way off topic, past the point of return, and will now be closed.
