I'm looking at a 1994 Cutlass with the 3.3 engine and it has 78,000 miles on it. Don't know that much about this engine. Is this a good engine or does it have it's problems? Were looking for a nice 2nd car,and this one has been very well maintained. Regular oil changes and the rest. So what's the story on the 3.3 ? Thanks for the advice! John

I have a 1994 Cutlass Ciera S with 242,500 miles on it. It is a great car and is still in perfect condition, even though, I just replaced the water pump and EGR Valve. The EGR Valve is $200 and the Water pump is $30. Other than that, its OK, but right now, has a choppy cold idle, but when the engine is warm, its a VERY great car! I recommend you getting it.

the 3.3 is based on the world class 3.8, and is an excellent engine. If the car has been well maintained, and you're looking for good, solid basic transportation, you can't go wrong.
