Was looking through Auto Shopper and saw a dealership had a 1984 745i and listed the VIN as E8422681. Couldn't find this model in NADA so I'm guessing this is a European car that was brought over to the US (especially with a VIN like that). I'm trying to find out more info on the car and was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction (did a search in this forum but it came up with mostly newer model 745 posts). I'm hoping to find things like specs on the car, ideas on how hard replacing parts on this car would be (since not sold in the US) if necessary, coming up with fair value for the car (seemed fully loaded, auto, with what they say is 125,000 miles), etc.

Any help/ideas is appreciated. TIA

I owned an 1984 745 until 3 years ago when it was totaled by a woman driving another vehicle. I LOVED the ride it had ..... it is a grey market car and I understand that there are les than 500 of them in the USA at current. I have an AWESOME mechanic who loves working on the "indifferent" model BMWs here in the USA.

I bought another one (88 735) from www.ebaymotors.com after that and loved both cars.
