* New car that can compete with SRT4vincentAMG 09-13-2004, 07:03 PM I'm getting a new car soon.. I want something really fast, that can keep up/close to the SRT4 I dont know much about cars so bare with me. not looking for a new car.. i'm looking for a USED car must be/have: under $15k PREFER rwd 170hp+ Open to suggestions kman10587 09-13-2004, 07:38 PM Well, there are a ton of cars in that category. Gotta narrow it down a bit more :P vincentAMG 09-14-2004, 01:48 AM like what? I'm really just looking for a performance car, and a few suggestions at that, not just 1 or 2, so could you name a few? SporkLover 09-14-2004, 11:25 AM Go with any Used ls1 car. vincentAMG 09-14-2004, 12:14 PM ok, now we're narrowing it down.. correct me if i'm wrong but I want soemthing that's better with handling and corners. Beastiek2 09-14-2004, 07:48 PM Somthing that handels nice and thats faster then an SRT-4 15k..Easy DONT HATE - Go with a late 90's civ si b16 motor drop a grand in suspesion and 4 more into the engine and you will take most cars on the road. Or get a stang or somthing if you want rear wheel drive. There arent really any 4 bangers that can compete with the SRT-4 for that price. vincentAMG 09-14-2004, 08:32 PM something that comes relatively close at least.. and I'm talking stock.. or at least not a civic, I hate how everyone has it. what about these? nissan 240sx integra gs-r honda prelude Andydg 09-15-2004, 01:11 PM Well if you are willing to put money into them DSM's aren't bad, well for reliability they are, but AWD is a shitload of fun when racing a car that just roasts it's tires off the line. Beastiek2 09-15-2004, 02:20 PM 240sx nice car - integra gs-r it sa civic with a diff body - honda prelude over rated - non of which can beat an SRT or compete, with out adding a few grand. Qwkslvr04 09-15-2004, 03:31 PM Here's an idea...wait maybe a year and get a used Srt-4. Good luck with all those other cars... Steindawg 09-18-2004, 12:10 AM "Here's an idea...wait maybe a year and get a used Srt-4." Good idea Qwkslvr04, but why waste your money on a Dodge?? Get something decent like a Ford! Just kiddin, SRT's are great. What about the new chevy cobalt, supposed to be around 15k? mprtech 09-18-2004, 03:47 AM Srt4's have pretty bad resale value, I can pick em up through the auctions with under 15000 miles for 14,100. I would go with the used. Just make sure its a late model with limited slip. Neon1996 09-19-2004, 05:28 PM I would check neons.org for a used srt-4 for 15 thousand and I have seen a few or go buy a 3000 dollar nissan 240 and pay about 3000 for the sr-20 swap then mod the heck outta that and yea there u go thats faster than an srt-4. kman10587 09-19-2004, 07:40 PM Used LS1 F-Body. And don't tell me the handling sucks. Qwkslvr04 09-20-2004, 08:41 AM Teh handling sucks..... mprtech 09-20-2004, 11:35 AM Hey qwkslvr04, you dont by chance own a eclipse do ya? Qwkslvr04 09-21-2004, 08:29 AM I don't like where this is going.....no i don't have an eclipse. Why? (cringes) fussman238 09-25-2004, 11:23 AM Eclipse 1997 GSX is a great car its got 210 hp and looks handles and goes faste that a 240 so there rrmike1 09-25-2004, 10:27 PM The only other cars I can think of would be a Spirit R/T or a Daytona R/T with the the 2.2L Turbo III in it....hard to find, though. RRMike1 robitrice19 09-30-2004, 06:28 PM About the 240SX get that and drop a SR20DET in it and it would compete with most cars add some money and you could beat most cars. If you can find one with somewhat low mileage buy it is worth it. MrSirius 09-30-2004, 09:43 PM dont go with a prelude or a gsr be sirius you honda kids got your heads up your asses. wont something that will beat a srt4 under 15k? good luck son, the 240sx might get it but not stock off the line even with a sr20det, that makes 200 stock so does the prelude. get a 240 with a sr20 nothing else. a prelude whathe fuck is that kid smokeing? i get preludes and gsrs in my 02 neon, bitches. you honda ass holes know that neons sport a 420a engine right? ring any bells? maybe in the dsm family?
