do you have to remove the whole door panel to do this? i am not new to cars by any means, but i am new to mitsubishis and from the looks of it you can do one of two things, remove the "pocket" on the lower half of the panel, or you have to remove the whole panel itself, TIA.......

You need to remove the whole panel.
Two screws on the left side and two on the right, one screw down in the little pocket for where ya grab to close door, one screw behind the door handle. The rest of the connectors are the Xmas tree clips. Take your time as not to miss any screws or they will want to rip out..... The speaker will be right out in view for removal.
Hope this helps.
