removing ignition switch

Can someone please tell me the best way to remove the ingnition cylinder in a 99 Tahoo when the switch is in the off position!

I'm trying to remove mine too on a 95 slivy. There is usualy a small hole in the clyinder that you push in while you remove the switch.
But I can't find it on mine. If I find out I'll post it here for you.

Ok,this is how ya do it. take the cover off from the column. On the top of the ignition, there will be a hole that you insert an 3/16 Allen wrench in.
turn the key to the on pos. while pushing on the wrench. It will pull out at that point. Make sure you unhook the battery so the air bag does not deploy.
