Pulp Fiction (Marsellus Wallace's Briefcase)
Regarding the movie Pulp Fiction, what is in the case and why does Marsellus Wallace have that band-aid on the back of his neck. Your opinions.
Mine: It has been said that when the Devil takes your soul, he takes it out of the back of your neck, and his soul is in the briefcase. But I have heard that it has never been said that the Devil takes your soul out of the back of your neck so I'm not sure anymore/bored. Post what you think.
Please Note: Do not bring up the argument that you cannot live without a soul.

your opinion is mine as well. Also, off-topic: EVERYONE NEEDS TO SEE PULP FICTION. That is all.
But yes, I think it's his soul as well.

Inisde the briefcase is the head of C3PO. The band-aid on Marcellus' neck is there because he nicked himself while shaving.

I have read and heard that the soul thing is the most popular answer to what is in the breifcase. honestly i have no clue what is in it or why he has a band aid on the back of his neck. But like it was stated already everyone should see this movie. oh not to change the subject but at the part where sam jackson is giving his bible speech before he blast the guy, is it just me or does he look like an alien?

well wha i meant by saying he looks like an alien is his eyes bug out all crazy like and his facial expressions make him look un-human like some sorta creepy alien. I'm not making fun of him either cuz sam jackson is the man. But next time you watch it think about what i said when the part happens.

Nowhere in the bible does it say the devil takes your soul from the back of your neck. This theory about PF has been around since the movie came out.
Quentin Tarantino never decided what it was, but he did want it to glow to add some mystery to it. The soul theory is my favourite though, which explains why Jules and Vince didn't get shot in that scene, because they were trying to save a soul.

doesnt explain the band aid, but hey, its a fun theory

Its just a plot device, a McGuffin I think is the term. It doesn't matter whats in the briefcase, just the fact that Jules and Vincent have to recover it for Marsellus. That's why its never revealed - its irrelevant to the story. You can come up with all sorts of theories and ideas, but the fact remains, it doesn't matter what the fuck is in the briefcase.

Tarantino said he didn't decide what it was and that he left it up to the actors to decide.
Some think it's a Golden Globe or Oscar for his wife because of her failed actress career. Diamonds from Resevoir dogs, and his soul (which is my favourite). In actuallity it was a battery and a light bulb.
