another boy question...
I've seen alot of S13 Silvias on the net with the R32 rear bumper in place. Do they fit right on with a new trunk and lights, Or do you have to modify like crazy?

Re: another boy question...
I beg the differ...
If you look at the profile of an S13 Coupe, and an R32... They look damn like body line wise.
And being in America and all, not too many people have any idea what a real Skyline looks like.
So lets say you get an RB20DET front clip... The front body panels come on as well.
So you swap in the RB powertrain, mold on the front body panels, and do the rear conversion. Hey, you have yourself a LHD Skyline R32 basically.
I think it's a good idea, one that I have been contemplating for quite a while, but dont have the body work knowledge to get it off the ground.
Anyways, I dont think of it as ricey at all... Ricey is S15 Headlights on a '91 Civic.
In my opinion...

Re: another boy question...
Still though he wont get any respect form the real car guys. Yea the ricers will like it, but trust me, enthusiests wont. Do you have a SR20DET in there? Because if you did it would be a waste of that engine.

What you mean to say is that narrow minded people who think they know everything won't like it due to thier own ignorance.

Close in what way, appearance? Actually they are not close at all in body pannel wise though the chassis are fairly close, they are not close enough. While the S13 and the R32 non-GTR do share many simularities that is about where it ends.
For those that own a 240 turning it into a sibbling, S13, S14, S15 makes a whole lot more sence than doing what you are implying. It is no different than doing the same thing with the S15 head lights onto a Civic. Just because it is Nissan onto Nissan makes absolutely no difference at at all. At the end of the day it is NOT a Skyline but kitted up Nissan S13 or 240sx.
For me personally I would rather piss on that car than sit in it. Why? Simply because some tosser (jackoff) is trying to make his car into something that it is not. Note building a race car or show car is different, but as we all know this knob nibbler will claim it is something which it isn't. They all do.

Sorry bout that. I didn't realize they were so freaking big until after I posted them. They aren't that big on the site.
In Japan it is really common to have cars that are a blend of different cars... ie Skyvias/Sileighties/Onevias/Cefirels and such.

Re: another boy question...
Your very right RazorGTR. Conversions are like taking credit for something else. Its sorta like your car is going to be a poser. I hate them

No worries Gladhatter
Until recently I never thought the steaga to be a beast, but more of a family car, since it is a wagon. That of course was until here in New Zealand one of our rather crazy skyling buggers dropped an RB26 into that is pushing some huge power. How fast it is? How about an 11.7 1/4 with a car that tips the scales on about 2 tonnes! Not sure on the power but it would have to be in up nearer the 600hp mark easy.
As far as customizing cars I've always had mixed views on it. Making something special is always individual specific, however turning a car into a look alike of another model just isn't on. It reminds me of when Pontiac did that special run of the Ferio which looked like a Ferrari. While at first it was a novelity but that wore off quickly.

Re: another boy question...
I the Honda Prelude into Skyline conversions. I even seen a Civic into a Celica conversion. Thats sad. I dont hate body-kits, I just like the clean good looking ones. But the cheap ricer ones are bad.
