Ads are fine. Pop-ups suck dead bears.

I thought the pop up advertising at the top and bottom of each page was fine. This pop up shit is down right annoying. And it seems to be getting worse.

Although it's annoying i found out you can just leave one of the popup windows open and minimized and no other windows will pop up.

I share everyone's opinion, unfortunately the bills gotta be paid. If you really want to get rid of them, just download this (http://www.panicware.com/product_dpps.html) and viola, no more pop ups. The only downside to this freeware is you can't open new windows using the IE or Netscape icon launcher, but the popup stopper's icon appears in the task bar; all you have to do is double click it to toggle it on or off. Gets rid of all the pop-up crap on the net quickly and easily.

I wouldn't mind these pop-ups if they were for porn sites!:hehehe:

If you really wanna get ride of them just click on the X on the upper right hand corner of the ad!:evillaugh

A month ago I was on supercars.net,they had popupads going on at a rate of 3-4 at a time.Yhey came up when you went to a specific page,when you replied and when you started a topic.I mentioned this and they said it was going to be cut in half and the excuse was the bandwidth was not being what it can for the amount of members.I only had 1 here and so far nothing else.I do not mind them if they are on the top of the screen like NismoPc suggests.

Sorry if anyone is getting popups right now, I just got a couple myself, but unfortunately, I can't disable them until later today.... that's how DoubleClick works...:o

I am a HUGE opponent to popup ads. I have always asked why they have to have a advertising program that has the popups in it. why don't they have or make an advertising program that just does the banner ads not the popup ads? for the people who don't want to have popup ads on their site.. I have never gotten an answer saying if they do or don't have that type of program.. so I am assuming they don't.. :(

pop-ups...click-they're there....click they're gone again.I'd rather have to zap the odd pop-up now and again,than pay a sub to visit this site!

i dont mind pop ups on AF if it pays the bills, just minmize them, and no more should pop up :)

I tend to agree that they aren't necessarily fun, but I personally get very few popups, and I'd much rather have to click on the X a couple times here and there instead of paying for using our site.

Hmm, I havn't noticed AF to be too bad for pop-up ads. I get pop-ups all the time asking me too register (which ois rather weird :confused: ).

The pop-ups annoy me slightly, but hey as long as it isn't all the time. Maybe I see one or two each time I browse the forums I don't mind at all. As everyone says, you guys have to get money to pay the bills somehow, and I agree with the others that I'rd rather just have pop-ups then I have too pay!!:)
