Hellow to all!

Just got '97 T&C and I really like it but the power locks are driving me nuts! If I go to unlock the door, the doors all first unlock and then they lock again! I have to go back and forth a couple of times between lock/unlock to finally get them to unlock. Sometimes they unlock, but the alarm goes off after I've entered the vehicle.

Also, when I do get the doors unlocked the rear hatch does not fully unlock to let me open the door.

Anyone got any ideas?

Mike, I'm sorry that your post hasn't generated any replies -- because I have essentially the same problem with a 97 Grand Caravan. The only way I can get in with a key [as opposed to the unlock button on key fob] is to turn the key with one hand and open door with other before releasing key; as soon as the key goes back to center, the doors lock. Also, with the engine running, if you open the door, step out, and then close the door -- it locks you out! I surely would appreciate some suggestions.

as far as the alarm goes, is it factory???? or aftermarket????

do you have the central door locking system ???? if you lock the driver door by pushing the the button down (not the switch) will all of the door lock???
