Torsion Bar Adjusment
I've got the Haynes manual for my 2000 Blazer 4dr LS 4WD w/75,000 miles and was looking for the adjustments for the torsion bars. My Blazer has a somewhat noticeable lean on the drivers side and I'm hoping this'll correct it. The ride has also went to crap over the last 6-8 months and I really don't believe the shocks (bilsteins) have worn out yet. The rear springs are fine but she seems to lean more and have alot more slop over rougher roads. I haven't ever messed with torsion bars but I've heard alot of guys cranking them down to get s small "lift" out of it, though you run the risk of to much and possibly breaking them. The manual says no more than 1/4" of space between the bar and the rear plate.
1st: Has anyone else had this problem or know of someone who has.
2nd: Does anyone have better specs for adjustment (i.e. actual height of the suspension/body/frame?)
If there's any precautions I should know about, please fill me in.
I've done a search of the forums but didn't find anything posted yet.
