Supercars.. Lots of supercars
hehe.. just found this little corner of AF and i like it!
anyway, here are some of the more memorable sightings from over the years.
Silver Diablo vs red F355 race from a red light. Spectacular. Noisy. (ferrari won, btw )
Red F40 screaming past. Noisy again, unbelievable
Red F50 parked by side of road, fat ugly guy inside, obviously with no intention of driving it fast (thats why i prefer F40's, theyre not for posers like F50s)
Red Testarossa- nice
Aston Martin V8 Vantage- big
Silver Bugatti EB110 being driven by one pimpy guy. Awesome!
Red Lamborghini Countach in traffic. Outrageous. Everyone was looking at it.
Black Lamborghini Countach at night time - looked amazing
Silver Jaguar XJ220. Wide. Thats all i remember.
Yellow Porsche 993GT2 in traffic. Not only rarer, better to drive, but also much better looking than new GT2
Silver Porsche 993GT2. Can't believe i've seen so many of this car (2 ) its so damn rare
Dark green Porsche 996GT3. Amazing, i love this car. My fave 996
Red Porsche 996GT3 Club Sport. Looks ready to race.
Red Marcos Mantis. Loud
Audi RS4's, RS2's
Countless F355's
Countless 360's
Countless 550's
Countless 456's
Countless 911's
Countless Boxsters, M3's, M5's, AMG's
Many Maserati 3200GT's. Nice cars.
Many 911 Turbo's, new and old, + a few new GT2's
Many Diablos
Many TVR's
and thats about it.. as you can see we're rather spoilt for supercars here. in fact, what we seem to have the least are american muscle cars
like the corvette and Vipers, though ive seen both too
whats missing in my collection is the ultimate: McLaren F1 and another very special car, the 959. wont be long now....
cheers,
jay

McLaren F1
You saw the holier than anything in exsistence McLaren F1. :finger4: May I bask in your infinite coolness??? Please????
I would probably have snapped and tried to touch it. I can see it now.... "Sir let go of the car" (My reply: NO!!) "Sir LET GO OF THE CAR!!!" (my reply again but louder: NNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!)...... Ah what a wonderful daydream...

90% of supercars i've seen in my life was in monaco... those are rich guys , rich as hell... to name a few i've seen an orange diablo (it was passing quite fast but i think it was a GT , carbon frontspoiler) aston DB7 vantage volante , many 355s , some modenas , including 2 spiders (one black and one silver) , numerous porshces including 993 GT2 , and in germany on the autobahn i've seen an F40 near frankfurt (lots of noise , also "disappeared" quite fast when the driver decided to accelerate...) and a porsche 959... Also in a tunnel in austria i've seen a Ruf CTR (the original old one) killing a 355 , and in tunnel it sounded so sweet , but i was really shocked how easily the porsche killed the ferrari , and how i knew it was a Ruf CTR , actually i was going slowly in the same direction and i have seen those 2 cars on the gas station so i pulled over there , and it came out that those two guys were friends and i talked with them about the cars , they were really nice and informative... Also i have seen bentleys , rollses , TVRs , morgans and a XJ220 jag when i was in the uk... Also i have seen cars like F50 or EB110 but only in showrooms so that doesn't count...

Lucky bastards. I have only seen two Dodge Vipers and a couple new Porsches. No Ferrari's or Lamborghini's.

I've seen countless exotics here on Long Island, but the best was a Porsche 959. Yes, I saw a 959. It was a few summers ago on the way to work. We pass an exotic car dealership. It had a white countach for a while too. Anyway, it was there for only 1 day. It was on a raised platform. It was red and I could recognize the rims and the shape right away. I don't know if it was a replica or not, but from what I saw it was definately a 959.
Other rare cars:
Ferrari 512TR M (yes, the M)
Ferrari F40
Ferrari Daytona
Dino 246
AM V8 Vantage
Orange Diablo GT
And maybe some others...

959 in the US?
Everyone knows they aren't street legal in the US so that is actually very interesting...

Your CTR vs 355 reminds me, ive also seen a black RUF, not quite sure what the precise model was. it seemed to be a worked over 993 Turbo (or based on that shell anyway). It was parked next to another 911 and made it look like poo
still waiting for that 959...
cheers,
jay

Well I don't liek the Cayenne Idea, but I'm sure it will turn out alright,. It just pisses me off that a company recognized for sportcars for 50 years decides to go all-out and make the next SU/A/O/V or whatever they are callign them these days.

All that heritage gone...
I hope Ferrari never does something like that.

Spotted a silver Ferrari 360 pull up to what seemed to be a 993 Porsche Turbo with a fat GT2 wing. Ferrari boy looked like he wanted to play (he did a U-turn to get near the Porsche guy who was parked) but Porsche didnt respond. It was on the very busy Regent Street (London) on Saturday night and everyone stopped to watch... They slowed traffic right down, revved up, and seemed ready to launch but nothing happened. Shame, could have been a fun race to watch! Still a nice sighting though!
cheers,
jay

 I can picture it now.............
The 2004 Ferrari 750 Monzta SFAUSV (Super Fast Activity Utility Sport Vehicle)
With its 7.5L Cast iron V-8 it has more than enough room to haul your 2.3 kids at 185 mph, yet compact to fit inside your Ford Excursion
I'd cry on the spot. Like a baby.
