2002 Tahoe MF fuel filter tool

Who sells this tool for less $45. Why did they design the fuel filter with a threaded end and a quick connector? Dealer wants $50 to change so I will buy the tool. The regular disconnect tool is not deep enough to release the clip.

Dude, just cut the quick connect end of the filter off and then use the tool to remove the cut end.

And who said the GM engineers didn't have a sense of humor

The replacement filter has a quick release tab so I have no plans to purchase the tool. I made a tool and keep using after market filters

the plastic tab you will have to remove and throw away..the filter is held in by 4 metal spring clips inside the fuel line
