Talking Your --> Racing Story

I didn't see any topics about this so thought I'd start one. Seeing other posting & videos of racing & even pursuits (Swedish cops sure needs to use a better car).

One, not to really brag but I think the race I did with my '93 Teg against a Corvette (hmm like the 80's model?) proved no matter how fast your car is, if you can't drive it, YOU CAN'T BEAT A BETTER DRIVER!

So I'm coming home from Vancouver Canada one night heading home south through I-5 in Washington State. Two lane road that pretty much goes for about 30 miles with some winding roads and steep hills along the side of the mountain.

As the road became flat and saw that I only had about 10 miles to get home, I pushed my gas pedal to about 85. (60 zone) I was the only one on the road after passing about 10 cars or so and noticed one car that kept up with me and came closer to my rear-view mirror. I slowed down and got on the right lane as I knew it wasn't a cop (headlight was weird) and slowed down to see what car was following me. At first when I noticed it was a Corvette, I thought "Hmm, he'll easily beat me but what the heck" so side by side we went, 90....95...100....soon we were going 115 miles to be exact. The freeway was a bit congested at the end but I knew I can take this car if I drove it right *haha*. The Corvette pushed little faster but I was watching the traffic at the same time and took an easier way. By the time we reached a three-lane, a lot of cars were ahead of us, forcing to slow down but I kept pushing and soon the Corvette fell five cars behind and slowed down. I kept going and passed the exit I was supposed to take and took the last exit to my town. Right after I got off, the Corvette finally passed by screaming down the I-5, me laughing and thinking this guy can't drive...either way, if there was no traffic, he would've beat me. Of course, being that my Teg can only push about 120mph (Max I've pushed) I really want to get a better car in few years! (Maybe a Skyline or NSX??? *hehe*)

Actually, we have a section for racing stories. If you look at the main screen you will see racing to your left. I am moving this topic over there.

Is this the new fad to bring up threads that are years old?

Early C4's were 240hp, well over 3000 lbs, and 90% of them were autos. I believe this was the L86 engine.
