Want to Rebuild Seats in 89 Jettadbbarney 08-26-2004, 09:00 PM I want to rebuild the front and rear seats with the OEM colors and styles of my 1989 Jetta GL (with the obnoxious passive seatbelt restraints). On the driver seat the side of the seat that takes all the entry and exit punishment is wearing out, typical, and there is a hole in the fabric that is getting larger. Green "hay" is falling out of the hole and when I gently touch the torn fabric, I see that the fabric is VERY thin and ready to tear at the slightest touch. I don't want to just put a cheap cover from Checker over the seat. I live in the Phoenix area. 1. Who can I contact for the materials to rebuild the seats, ie: foam, shape, fabric, etc? 2. I've seen center armrests in black but I'd like to find one in dark blue. Anyone know where? 3. Is there a cup holder that will fit in the ashtray opening for the 89 Jetta? Thanks. dbbarney@yahoo.com jepenseplus 09-14-2004, 08:05 AM 1. I don't live in the area. 2. http://www.ebay.com/ search for user abalonepoon 3. There is supposed to be an ashtray cup holder for sale at http://www.vwcupholders.com/ if not, you may want to try this. http://www.vwfixx.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=24396&hl=cup+holder Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
