Hi guys, I just started posting her after I found a link to this place off of google. I own a 1993 Nissan 240SX SE. I've had it for about 2 months now and I'm in love with it. I was just wondering whether I should go for a SR20DET engine swap or for other options and get the engine later?

If any of you guys have an SR20DET with a 5 or 6 speed tranny your willing to sell that has under 63k miles then let me know where you live and how much your asking for it.

I said full audiobahn sound system. I dunno why but I never seen an option for that in a 240sx forum so I'll be the one to vote for it LOL.


Even though AUDIOBAHN sucks, and adding a lot of weight with a "full" audiobahn system will suck for a sports car... and making a stereo system out of one company sucks, because no one company makes the best of everything thats just ricer show car shit. I like Hifonics amps, Orion h2 speakers, Alpine recievers, premium wires... you get the drift.. its all in the setup as to how good you want it to be. it seems like you got some money so do it right if your going to do it.

One Orion h2 12" running about 1500 watts rms from a Brutus hifonics amp in a lil 240sx hatchback with a ported box aiming right up at the rear window.... now thatd be fuckin loud...that setup right there would blow away any kind of all Audiobahn setup. My brother has ran one like that, just one 12 on 1500 watts rms and it was louder then most 15's, defintely the loudest 12 i've ever heard. It had great low bass and a precise sound, best of both worlds, 3" excursion...bitch moves like a motherfucker on low bass.

umm I know a sweet sound system will be great and all but I cant here it from here at the finish line. If are set againt KADE-t then get the Sr first but wait CF hood and sound system were options... on second thought give me your car and I get you a nice civic HB with a 8 inch muffler, primered ground effects, gutted cat, cold air intake, and a wing. all those mods would have to put it down into the 10's.

j/k have to mess well my go would be sr20 and some nice seats.

it will add some traction haha....

i say get a bigg t-88 and glue it onto your headers and say u have turbo the ricers will never know the difference..

but seriously if you want speed get the sr.. if u want looks get the hood, if u want a system get kicker solo baric the square 1's hehe.. well its up to you

Well the only reason I'd get the hood would not be to make the car look better but to lighten it up since an 8 1/2 lb CF hood is a ton lighter than the 65 lb steel one that comes stock lol

I am a firm believer in getting the most expensive thing first, especially the engine. I am tired of seeing cars that look fast before they are actually fast. Also, me personally, I always seem to spend all my money the longer I have it. So if I by the most expensive thing first, then the cheaper stuff is easier to obtain with less saving, gets the ball roling much faster too.

I'd get the engine first ...then start adding on. Start from the inside and work your way out

Winston I agree with you on that one. Thats why I dont plan on having any body modifications done until I actually have the power to back the looks. After all, if you get a body kit then more people will fuck with you on the streets and wanna race.

I say get the engine out of the way. You will be happier with it than any other modification.

wow where to begin.....first of all the fucking sound system would be very last and id only add two 10's if not two 5's, amp and capacitor. not 200 lbs you fuckin moron. next, the CF hood would change a 65 lb stock hood for an 8 1/2 lb one. the sound system would be removable as well you fuck tard. as for the things you think I should do....I dont want the description of your 4 door accord and the nasty trash you throw on it. and last of all about your yourself, your mother should have coat-hangered your ass and called it a fuckin miscarriage. the world would be a much better place.

Yes and you don't own that civic and there aren't a whole lot of them out there. Civics are cool, but so is RWD. You have to dump a few grand into it and tune it right. you could beat a viper with a civic. but whats the damn point? with all th work done to the civic, it would be uncomfortable, most likely with a stripped interior, a insanely crazy powerband and a shitty daily driver compare to the viper. all in all, if you can make a civic faster than a viper, you could prolly do that with a geo metro.

I agree. Most new american cars are considered extremely fast. To tell you the truth, I would rather have a lump sum of the manufacturer's MSRP on one of those new corvettes or GTOs for that matter. I would build a S14 KA-T from hell and have money left over for a S14 KA-T daily driver with a mild turbo kit.

The point I was making is that there is nothing wrong with Civics. I wasnt going into detail about what the interior has had removed, how comfortable it is, and how useful it is when it comes to a daily driver. And I'd love to see a Geo Metro beat a viper haha, you could probably modify it and drop in one of those new 572 big blocks from Chevy that pump out 720 hp straight from the factory.
