1998 750 intake vacuum leak

Can you guys or gals give me an idea what it costs to have the RHS rear intake cover that is leaking vacuum repaired properly?

Hi again Larry, sorry to take so long, been too busy. In answer to your questions, I have some CONCERNS ! !

a] "your local dealer 'recommends' replacing the intake manifold blocks" Are they confirming this as the diagnosis and guaranteeing repair of the problem?? I hope so, if not talk to the service manager !

b] your car maybe covered by a RECALL, Bulletin Number 11 05 99 regarding replacement of the crankcase vent valves on the rear of each manifold. It does sound like broken diaphrams are your problem but the valve design is slightly differnet on the V-12's.

I suggest you contact your dealer again and get more 'knowledgable' information from them BEFORE procceding with any out-of-pocket repairs. PLease keep me posted on your results.......................jeff b.
