Red face Hi.. Just to let you all know...

Hi.. today my heater core on my 1991 Z24 cav went tits up. I am getting it fixed tomorrow. But to let all you Cav owners. It is coman for them to do that. I have had two buddies have the same problem. What happens is that it leaks down the fire wall under the master cylinder. It wont leak inside because GM knew that this was goin to happen, SO they sealed the inside of the heater core to not leak on your nice carpet. ;-) Just to let you all know.

Have a good one.

DD

Heater Control

I have a 92 Cav with A/C. The temperature control lever has broken off from the control cable behind the console. I'm looking for a schematic that would show me where the tab I found on the floor snapped off from.

See attached pic of tab with retainer ring.

If you can help on this, I'd appreciate any guidance.

Thanks

That "not leaking into your interior" thing must have been a feature they added to the post '90 models cause mine looks like a water fall right into my carpet... . That was a biatch to fix too.(for a guy who owns 2 tools, a crescent wrench and a screwdriver)
