Hello all!

I just purchased an off lease 2001 525i with 41,000 miles. I have had it for one week & noticed, the other day, an oil leak from the vehicle on my garage floor. I drove it today, for maybe 20 miles, just around town, & checked under it later- on my! a big ol' puddle! It looks like the leak is coming from the oil pan gasket... kinda hard to get under the car to completly check it out though...

Sidenote: when I got the car it had a decal on the drivers side window from a Jiffy Lube type chain, the oil had just been changed (I took the decal off & threw it away, so therefore I don't know the name of the chain, but one of those regular ol' places).

Any chance the recent oil change has something to do with this? Wrong oil used maybe? and if the wrong oil was used, is my warranty void?

Any thoughts would be oh so greatly appreciated!! Thank you in advance for your time & help!!!

incorrect gasket on oil plug would be a possibility.
