Do you think an Accord is a big step from a Civic?

I'm interested in accords and possibly purchasing a 5th gen but what do you guys say. Is a Accord a big step up from a Civic? Is it more mature or better suited for comfort in mind?

Well, common sense would tell us that if the Accord did not offer anything more than the Civic, that Accords would not sell, why bother spending the extra money on nothing. All Hondas are very reliable, provided you follow the service intervals. More importantly, a Honda will hold its value much better than any other car I've owned.
Now, on to your question. Even if you purchased the EX Civic, there are advantages to moving up to the LX Accord. Its larger, and roomier. The Civic also gets much better gas mielage being smaller and lighter. The Accord has more power, and a much better ride. It all depends on what you want in a car. If your single and size is not a big concern for example, then why pay more for the Accord when an Accord is more car than you need. On the other hand, if you want the more quiet and smoother ride, the Accord may be for you.
