how hard would it be to.....90CRXZCSi 02-05-2002, 01:44 AM put an integra LS motor in a CRX? I have a friend that wants to know and is not a member of AF so he cant post. He was looking to either get the B18A or the B18B and wasnt sure if this would work good or not. Also, does he need motor mounts and if so, what brand would be good to get? Sorry, i dont really know much about a LS motor going into a CRX so that's why he had me ask on here. Thx for all replies.:D spy54 02-05-2002, 01:49 AM um wouldn't he only need the b-series mounts from hasport and probly all the other b-series stuff and the zc hood so he could fit it under there Marc-OS 02-05-2002, 01:57 AM For a b18 swap I think the wiring was the tricky part. SkyNex721 02-05-2002, 01:57 AM Yes you would need mounts. You can get the mounts from Hasport or Placeracing. The mounts will fit the B16, B17, and the B18. There might be some rubbing between the valve cover and the hood. I am not sure if the different mounts actually place the engine at the stock height or not. So the I think the SiR hood would be a good choice of there isn't enough clearance. But I would imagine that Hasport or Placeracing companies know what they are doing. Setanta 02-05-2002, 05:45 AM There's one engineered over here that uses the custom mounts and standard bonnet. Then again, we have the cam-hump in the bonnet as our CRXs were the ZC powered Si. mellowboy 02-05-2002, 09:56 AM Non of that hood conversions or all that stuff is needed. If you want your engine to be lower..u can get the HCP motor mounts.Thats what i have.An ls swap is the same thing as putting a b16 or any other b-series motor. Its much easier in wiring cause u don't have that v-tec wire to worry about. Its an easier swap than the v-tec:) 90CRXZCSi 02-06-2002, 01:28 AM Thanks for the help guys! :D Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
