Thumbs down 2000 Extcab 2wd 1500 Suspension Help

I am looking for help and suggestions to improve the ride of my
truck. I have some side to side movement, and some big lifts with
bumps. Also it seems really stiff. I am getting motion sickness
on all of the bumpy roads out here. I replace the shocks with
Monroe Reflex. I do notice a difference on the small
horizontal bumps, but the ride remains poor. I have just had a Silverado which rides more like a car.much better ride than the GMC.Is it possible to get a better ride and if so what parts do I need. I do not carry a load often or tow. Also I am stuck with this truck and plan to drive it for years. It is a 2000 Sierra 1500 extcab 2wd.
Thanks
