i dont know were he got it but he said that he paid 9k for it and that it will go from 0-60 in like 3 seconds its so fast. its all white, and has a phase 3 engine under the hood, he was told that its capible of 690+hp
the car has no badges. but has brackets in the windows for were the blue lights go. i think he is pulling my leg. we dont have cars like that here, except in louisville. and i dont think they would just sell one to anybody.

usually when the police get rid of the car they take the chip and every other modifications with them. so i doubt it.

well i guarantee that when the cops got rid of it they got rid of the mods...also...when they turn a car into a cop car. they keep alot of the stuff secret cause they dont want people knowing what they can used to get rid of the cops. so ill bet my car (not really) that it will not get 690 hp...unless someone put their own mods in it. but it wont be the original police mods.

Check the RPO codes for B4C. Police Service package. I dont know what this phase 3 bs is but most police package camaros were usually in RS trim with the powerful engine, performance rear axle, upgraded suspension and better braking.

I know cop cars have their whole exhaust system modded because a couple parked at my school and I took a look under em. Looked like flowmasters, but not quite sure. Oh yeah, and thats here in Cali.

Hell, their whole car is modded I suppose.

The new police car impalas dont have anything special done to them. CHP did an article on them and drove the piss out of it and it doesnt have any fancy add on parts, its all crap you could order on any other impala.

The police camaro was and is not anything special... mods include, pcm programming, aftermarket exhaust... nothing real special... if he says it was a zl-1 camaro I highly doubt that... which package? The ones with the 350 or the 427? I don’t think they would pay for the 427 much less the 350 engine in one of those...

The camaro cop cars we not Z28's or RS's in the fourth gens. They may have has the same options. RPO code B4C denotes that it is a special service package. 93 to 97 b4c's had larger sway bars (1le), free flow exhaust, and 52mm throttle bodies. 98-02 I am not totally sure but they do have different sized sway bars and larger throtel bodies but I am unsure of the size. There is no such thing as phase 3 or anything like that it's just a regualr LS1 with a bigger throttle body, bigger suspesion and free flowing exhaust. And they were not "chipped" and the police did not change the cars before selling them to the public. Someone is feeding you some bull.

well i know for a fact that they change the cars now before they sell em to the public. my dad is good friends with the police chief around here and he said that they downgrade every car before it is auctioned.

I can tell you for a fact that police cars are NOT changed before they are sold to the public. Every year we auction off some of the cars from our department here and they are never changed....why would anyone spend money to downgrade a car, plus they can't sell them for as much if they are downgraded........think about it.......

every district prolly does different stuff. im sure the more populated cities like LA and places that have a lot of crime might down grade the cars so that drug dealers dont get em. i know in my town thats what the people do. they go out and get de-comp cruisers and sell drugs out of em, and that's in small town Va.

also, the B4C's came with a roll cage...

I bought a 97 b4c a year and a half ago. Mine did not come with the roll cage.... I think that might have been an aftermarket mod or the dept asked Chevy to do it for them at the time of purchase but it was definitely not on the standard b4c list. Mine came with an oil line cooler and tranny line cooler, beefed up suspension, heavy amp alternator and a few other minor things. To my understanding from the dealer I bought it from, it was not downgraded in any way. He got it the way the dept got it. This guy only deals in used police vehicles. We also believe it was a narcotics buy car due to some "interesting" features we found like the trunk being chained shut. The car drives like a dream though and I have had more fun driving it then is legally allowed.

from the factory, a B4C is nothing but an RS with Z28 running gear, thats it, no other mods from the factory. what the police department does with it after that is their buisness. in VA the interceptor camaros have cross drilled and slotted rotors, performance chips, aftermarket exhaust, K&N air filters, and modified shift points, at least thats all i found when i worked on em at the dealership ;) the one with a rollcage, modified, superchargers, modified, and this one that is supposed to have the 7.0L LS1 also sets off my BS meter. that engine costs a helluva lot of money, and i dont see any police department dropping that kind of cash on a single use vehicle.
