what would you do with my car

ive got a dilemma. i need more power but cant decide in which way i want to get it. i have a crx with a 95 d16z6, 90 si tranny, i/h/e, cam gear, and as of tomorrow, fuel pressure regulator. do you guys think it would be worthwile to throw nitrous or a turbo on this motor, or do you think i would be better off doing a b18b frankenstein swap. i hate thinking about doing another swap because it makes me feel like i wasted alot of money with this one. i purchased the sohc vtec engine because at the time the car HAD to have a new engine, and even though it had 35 horses less then the b16, it didnt cost as much or require a mounting kit to put it in, plus i like the fact that the engine has almost as much torque as the b16 and is coupled with the close gears of the si transmission. anyway, has anyone had experience building up the sohc engines to get into say, the 12s maybe low 13s or do you think i am wasting my time. thanks in advance

Im not saying its a waste of money but your always better off turbocharging a DOHC than a SOHC because you have 1 camshaft for intake and the other for exhaust. i like the idea of your B18A/B. if you did that, i would turbo that motor if i were you and that will get you into the 14's.

hey, thanks marked, that site rocks (except for all the pop up ads, but i guess they really need members). after seeing everyone on that site doing "junkyard turbos", i have decided to keep the sohc vtec and do the same. i purchased an 88 to 91 dx manifold, and i plan on porting it out and coating it with a high temp coating a couple times, inside and out. more than likely i will be starting a turbo buildup over the next couple weeks, just looking for a cheap t25, intercooler, and probably some fuel system upgrades(bbk fuel pump and gsr injectors). if after all this i still dont think its fast enough, then i can get a new manifold and transfer the turbo to a b18b if i decide to go that route. anyways, thanks for the site info, it helped me make a decision.
