I changed the passenger side strut on my car and noticed that the driver side tire now bounces off the road literally when i hit a bump. It bounces so bad it sorta takes the steering wheel out of my hands. I intend on changing the driver side strut tomorrow but was curious if it will take care of the bouncing of my driver tire or could my spring be bad??

it should cure your problem. you really should replace both at the same time. if you replace just one the car rides uneven, and you can put more strain on the side that has not been replaced.

I agree with Jv, always replace struts and shocks in pairs. If you don't, it can accelerate wear on other chassis/steering parts due to the uneven ride of the old/new parts
