I'm having an issue with my '95 626. The alarm will not turn off. In fact, it seems to be stuck in a loop of trying to arm itself repeatedly, as I can see the lock on the driver's side door kind of "pulse" as it tries to lock itself repeatedly. The remote does nothing to turn it off, or do anything, in fact. I replaced the battery on the remote and it did no good. I cannot start the ignition on the car. There is a switch under the dashboard, but I've tried flipping it to no effect. Anybody have any ideas?

What kind of alarm is it? Usually there is a push button that's called a "Valet" switch that is used to manually shut them down. Normally to use these, you need to turn the ignition on then press this button once or more times depending on how the alarm was set up.
