Spark plugcoolguycooz 08-08-2004, 09:58 PM Hey what spark plug brand and type would you guys recommend to use on an eclipse. Also what size socket is it? I remember i had put away a socket for my spark plugs and now i cant find it and i dont want to spend hours looking through a random tool box looking for an extension so it can reach the spark plugs. Nstyle29 08-08-2004, 10:01 PM i know if you search some guys have the size and probably what the best type is coolguycooz 08-08-2004, 10:07 PM search where what? I just wanted somebody to recomend a type and brand of spark plug that they have had a good experience and as for the size im just to lazy to go to the garage and search. I want to know it so i can go and get the tool in 10 seconds and do it really fast. 50 Yen 08-08-2004, 10:25 PM Hmmm.....well the ones i use are Bosch platium, they are like $7 each and have 4 spark tips rather than just one, but i haven't really noticed a difference between the bosch platiums and some other cheap ones, but then again never raced my car to notice. i heard there is some japanese brand thats good for imported cars, cause it's made for international automobiles. now as for the size, i forgot what it is, just go to auto zone, buy your size spark plug, and just try the sockets they got in there, pretty easy. guitarXgeek 08-08-2004, 10:53 PM I wouldn't recommend using Bosch plugs. I (and many other dsmers) use NGK plugs. They are great and not expensive. metalhedskater 08-08-2004, 11:49 PM ngk bpr6ekn i think and the ngk plugs....it might be different if your car is n/a or turbo charged EclipseRST 08-09-2004, 07:09 AM ngk bpr6ekn i think and the ngk plugs....it might be different if your car is n/a or turbo chargedno its BPR6ES or BPR7ES... the BPR7ES burn a little cooler so they are better if you run more boost and are making more power! average retail = $2.24 ea. :) the BPR6EKN's will work but i have never had very good luck with dual, tripple or even quadrupple gound spark plugs! i like the traditional single ground :p plus the BPR6EKN spark plugs retail = $4.26 :screwy: you could also go with the iridium plug... BPR6EIX = $6.95 they are single ground and suppose to be the best plug you can get but i dont see the point in wasting $30 on plugs when i can get the same performance for less than $10... and platinum plugs are just shit so dont get them! and for all of you wondering which is a multi ground spark plug and which is a traditional single ground spark plug here are pictures cause i know you wont search... you'll just ask! ~ Multi ground http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/500/102895multi_ground.jpg Traditional/Single ground http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/500/102895single_ground.jpg oh and the socket size is 13/16" ashah000 08-09-2004, 09:23 AM no its BPR6ES or BPR7ES... the BPR6ES burn a little cooler I though the higher number was colder and the lower the hotter. EclipseRST 08-09-2004, 09:28 AM sorry... my bad... mixed them up! i ment the BPR7ES... its been changed! to many fuckin numbers ;) Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
