Ok, I want to get an intake manfiold sooner or later.. But I was wondering... Are those aftermarket Skunk2 and the edelbrock intake for any bseries engine just a replica of the type r one? Thanks

they are not an exact replica. the Type-R manifold has a different bolt pattern than the dual-stage manifold. therefore, you would have to drill a different set of holes on the Type-R one. The Skunk2 and Edelbrock have a direct bolt pattern, therefore no modification is required - just slap that bitch on, and go. ;) hope this helps.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that the Skunk2 is basically the same as a port/polished Type-R manifold...So although it is a replica, it is not quite exact :cool:

ok, so here goes again... I have an LS engine.. I know people say b series are interchangeable.. So could I just slap on the skunk2 intake manifold(seeing as id have to buy a new intake, and throttle body) but could i? thanks

edelbrock I/M has way shorter/fatter runners....in my opinion great for f/i but not for n/a
