Would this (link inside) be the best for an '03 Intake?

http://www.first-1.com/Merchant2/mer...roduct_Count=0

Also what about this by-pass valve? Do I need it? Do I have to cut anything if I dont get it, I would just assume take out my old one and put this in snap snap done type of deal...thanks

all intakes are the same you wont get more than 5 HP out of it, intakes are only a starting a point, not an actual performance mod

Re: Would this (link inside) be the best for an '03 Intake?

If you get the actual cold air intake which goes down into the fender well then i would say it wouldn;t hurt. Its basically a safe guard if for some reason the filter get submurged or soaked and can't draw air through the filter. It keeps the engine breathing and prevents it from sucking the water into the engine.

Now if its a Warm air intake (the filter stays in the engine bay) then it is not needed.

Not hard you just have to cut the current hole bigger that is behind the battery mount that was there from the stock intake system. There is what is refered to as a "bong" that must be removed that is inbetween the fender and wheel well cover

Re: Would this (link inside) be the best for an '03 Intake?

I built my own cold air intake. The Air Bypass Valve just sits behind the filter somewhere so that if the filter sucks up any water, the abv can close that end of the pipe, and suck air through that foam you see. The abv on mine is the little green foam thing right at the end of the stock tubing.
