Fan slows and radio volume goes up when I go up hills

When I'm going up hills the a/c fan slows down to a trickle and the radio gets louder. Any ideas what could be causing this?

I'm thinking bad battery or alternator.

Sounds like a bad ground or corroded battery cable to me.
