Anyone know about these E-turbos and If they work, and HOW they work?

they work bye using a fan to push or draw more air into the intake.... in my opinion they are junk and you shouldn't bye them... if you want one wire a computer fan into your intake...

no actually ive seen one that could possibly work so i tempted fate and bought it. Its a turbo design with 24 fan blades, they claim 2PSI and 800CFM of air flow. IT also comes with a MONEY BACK GUARANTEE OF 10 HP. So im gonna wait and see what happens, but this is the only one ive ever even thought about buying, so i figured id blow a paycheck just to see if its for real.

yeah they are a "turbo" design... but i wouldn't buy a computer fan with a turbo look-alike shell around it for $100+... but hey... 10 hp aint toooo bad... but it is pointless if you are going to turbo it for real later on...

dude its not a computer fan, a computer fan at most usually puts out around 50CFM on average for an 80MM fan, this is putting out 800CFM with 2 PSI, fans can not create PSI, turbos can. And this is just something to play with untill i can afford the Gm supercharger, for 350 its not too bad.

If you could find an E-Turbo that could produce 2psi or so without drawing too much power... Blah, blah, blah. Every company that makes one also makes the same claims.

I'd honestly like to try one, but any one I've found online that appeared serious enough cost $300 or more. I'm not wasting that kind of money to test a product.

It'd also only be useful for someone wanting a little more "Get up and go" in traffic or on-ramps, and don't have better headers or intakes on the market for their vehicle (like me, '91 Cavi 2.2L).

PS: Stay away from ebay... Those are just glorified hairdryers.

So basically most people are saying it ist a good idea? i just wanted something to put on right now that was cheap to make it a little quicker. I am more into show rather then race but a stock 2002 cavi sure is slooooow.

for an 02 you can find a lot better for prob cheaper. A better exhaust, a used turbo, a cold air exhaust (your best bet).

check around in your town at a few car shops for tips. a beautiful Blonde hair and blues eyed girl will sway any mechanic into pouring out advice.

Just don't mention electric turbos... They have their uses, but not in newer "import" style motors, and are kind'a "the joke" in the engine world.

if youve never tried one i wouldnt down talk it. And like i said, the one im buying doesnt say up to 10 HP, its MINIMUM 10 HP gain, backed with a money back guarantee. Its not a bilage pump, this is the only one ive ever seen that isnt one. I have high hops for this one, but delivery is going to take like a month or so cause they are on back order. But when it does come ill be sure to let you know who it works out.

1 would rather spend $500-600 on a real turbo, bov, wastegate, intercooler, and all the piping... adn then make 100hp rather than 10hp.

find me a reliable turbo with all that for 600 bucks and yesi would buy it, and im not gonna go junk yard it. Your dreaming if you think you can get all that for 600 bucks. You sure you know what your talking about?

If you refuse to salvage a true turbo for a junker or junk dealer then an electric is your best bet for that price. Let me know how it performs.

I'm not being sarcastic, I'm really courious. I was looking at the E-Ram a year ago but lost interest for the price.

ive been rally curious as well. I was saving for a GM supercharger but i got rear ended and had to pay a 1,000 dollar deductable, im supposed to get 500 back, but i havent seen it yet. So my dreams of a GM SC were put on hold. If this works well, i might try and duel electric turbo setup, the webpage claims 4 PSI at 1600 CFM of air flow.

Hey Jason I seen the one your talking about I think. You need a power converter right. If so I thought about buying that. Let us know if it helps. I would be very interested in the result as would everyone else. Even if they don't admit it.
