I need help getting a code to get my stereo back on. The battery died and now the stereo wont work. It is a stock CD/AM/FM radio. Please help if you know the code,,,Thanks a bunch.. :confused:

I recently purchased a used 96 Grand Am and my battery also died just recently. Now I can't get into my radio because of the theft lock and the previous owner had entered the code. The lot I bought it at can't tell me how to fix it. Any help??

Go to a gm dealership they will be able to get the codes for you to unlock it.

same here I guess the dealer is the only way,I found this site while looking for the code(anti theft ) myself what a cool place.
PS those things they sell that are supposed to keep the car from losing codes don't work.Took mine back to Autozone they love me there
