Should be a the end of the radiator hose going to the water pump on left side when facing engine. The housing is aluminum so use WD 40 on nut and be careful not to twist the stud. Afterwards clean nut and stud to make assembly and future dissasembly easy.

followed radiator hose to what I think is the housing...it had two bolts attaching it....removed two bolts and saw gasket....where is it from there?

saw no thermostat or any place big enough to put one in.

Thermostat is just to the left and above the oil filter, within the water inlet. Torque the nuts to 78 in-lbs.

I hope Brian's additional description helps. Its the lower radiator hose on left when looking at engine. Should be 2 nuts as he said also. Once you pop it open its right there.

I bet I'd get arrested for scanning and posting on the web all my books so I can just point. :)
