R.W.240 07-29-2004, 09:19 PM 10000 is a tall order on a KA, undersquare engines will always wheze out on the top end. even at 8500 something is probably closer to poping than a 6500 Redline boosting .75 Bar Plus, for the power levels you looking for everything will most likely need to be custom From the Headers to Ignition to Intake eclipse2quick21 07-29-2004, 09:35 PM http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=246303 i was thinking about the same thing not too long ago and started a thread on it. i decided to go KA-T though. drifter1283 07-30-2004, 12:51 AM well i mean i wanted to do it because im perty sure no one else has and shortining the stroke will alow me to rev higher faster and will move the power band up a notch i guess your right. it would all have to be cutom work. i guess i better start taking some classes =\ , unless you guys know of a shop that does custom work anywhere in the US? 94tegRS 07-30-2004, 01:01 AM yeah, but if you just get shorter rods then your pistons TDC is gonna drop more the more you shorten the rods and your CR is gonna drop alot, so then you have to get pistons with moved pin holes, and if you get the rod too shart and try building the piston dome back up to normalhight or above to up your compression, then you are going to have some heavy pistons, and you wanna take an engine thats stock redline is 6500 up to 10K. I dont see any way that it will be worth the trouble at all. drifter1283 07-30-2004, 01:11 AM yeah you do have a point, but i do like a hard project. thats why i chose NA 94tegRS 07-30-2004, 01:13 AM do you also like an EXPENSIVE project? drifter1283 07-30-2004, 01:14 AM actually i wouldnt mind, it would be a long process though Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
