Question Vibration in Accelerator at 55 MPH

My 1999 Saturn SC2 with 96K miles has a vibration that can be felt in speeds from 50-60 MPH. It is a general low vibration, but can be felt most in the accellerator and floorboards. I have replaced two front tires, had them balanced, then balanced the back tires. It also has new pads and rotors, so I am perplexed. I want to sell the car, but cannot until I can fix the problem.

Re: Vibration in Accelerator at 55 MPH

vibration speed from 50-60mph normally cause by unbalance tire. You stated that you replace the front tires and balance the back tires, did you also balance the front one? all the tires must be balance, even the new tires.

Yes, I even asked to make sure that they balanced the new tires. I can tell you now that all 4 tires are balanced. However, the back tires are older (a few years).

Re: Vibration in Accelerator at 55 MPH

Usually at 50 mph or higher it is a tire balance problem, I would have another shop re-balance them since it seems the first shop did not balance the front two correctly. You could confirm this by switching the back two tire on the front and see if the problem goes away or get better/different.
