I here that APC projectors are not that good of quality and they tend to leak after a while. Is this true?

To sum it up in one word: Yes.

if youre dead set on em...you can always put another seal around the edges with silicon...that should help

I dont know about the projectors put i know the euro lights and front corner lenses leak really bad so without no doubt in my mind im sure that the projectors leak too. Like Eightohone said...if your really set on them just put another seal around them.;) :D

I dont think the projectors for the 88-91's are made by APC...APC doesnt make much for car's 92 and under (thank god ;) ).

Ive got APC projectors, had them on my 89 JDM CRX for a year now, and they are still perfect, and I am in Ireland where it rains every day!
