Modic Unit - Programming Assistance Required

Hi All,

My Modic unit seemed to have lost its memory. I've lend it to a friend and somehow he must have reset it.

The unit is useless in its current state. I understand that it is possible to download the coding information from a PC to the unit.

Can I do it through MS Windows?
What Software do I need (I bought it without any)?
Can I use a normal serial cable?

Vehicle data:
BMW 540i, 1994 - E34

I've searched for a Technical Manual/Guide on the Web but could not find any.

Thanx for any assistance offered.

Kind Regards
Johan
