what i'm really looking for are the hp vs. rpm,torque vs.rpm graphs, and redline rpm. i've installed a tach, but do not know what are the optimal shift points are; or at what piont could i damage the vortec engine. if i'm barking up the wrong tree with this please tell me. thanx in advance for the info/help
tachs work differently so what you need to do is keep the radio off fans off and drive the truck watch you tach when the motor sounds like it is winding out shift and remember the rpms. as far as red line i wouldn't take it over 4000-4500max
