Re: blazer alarm

What kind of alarm? No OEM alarm for a '89 Blazer would keep it from starting.

Re: blazer alarm

You need to pull off the panel under the dash.
Some whare you will find the box that controls the alarm system. On that box you will find a few thicker wires. Most of the wires are pretty small, the starter wires are the fat ones. If you still want the alarm but not the starter disable you may run into trouble. You will need to get a schematic and find out what wire colors are the starter.

I would just take all the thick wires off the alarm and reconnect them to their like color. Just make sure you use the same colors when reconnecting.

Even a novice should be able to disable this funtion in just a few minutes.
