what mods on a LS, look at this car!

opk, I am looking for a car and was thinking of a SC wiht bost upgrade GSR or swap into a civic, but I found this car, which is nice and i like the rims and bumper, only needs a spoiler, but is 110K miles too much to be using F/I on an engine? well, I will most likely still swap a ITR engine in it then after a whuile and when this goes bad. can you make the JRSC from a LS work on a ITR engine? also, what other mods can you do to the LS motor to get power? a gsr with the SC and boost upgrade(9 psi and BTC) put 226 HP to the wheels and the ITR with SC at 5 PSI put 206 HP to the wheels. but a SC LS with DC header and tanabe CB and AEM filter puts only 160.6 to the wheels. I think I wanyt more power, but i like this car and it sems lie a good price.

I got the numbes from JR so if i am wrong it isnt my fault.

I know that lower comprssion is better for F/(I, but since it will only be riunning 6 psi of boost, then would higher compression pistons help with the power? and can you put the 9 psi boost upgrade pulley for the GSR onto the LS? and is there a way to put a FMIC on a SC aqny other help woith ideas on performance from a LS motor.

Dang thats a sweet ride and a very low price. If the person was living closer I would buy the car, with the money I save I could put a new turbo, nos, and SC all at one time.

yeah, borrow it , and if he has a problem with the down payment idea, let him keep the car there, draft up a contract, have it signed by both of you, and allow him to charge you an extra $50, i mean you're still getting a stellar deal...did i just say steller....anyways..

build up internals to make it a more reliable power house. Type r pistons, more aggressive cams, valves, valve springs, for $3500 you can make a mean machine man...especially because you're tlakin american money...i'm from canada, that shit is like gold ot me haha

im workin a deal that i put up 2k down but can only get 1k cash advance on card, so im tryin for 1k down onw, I can get more but at such a high rate. anywaysl, they said yes to a D.P. and the rest in cash in 23 days, but I just hope either i can take the car after just the paytment or they arent druiving my car around abusing it becaiuse it is sold but they own it already, I guess I can just mnake the contract for the exact mileage it has on 9it when i gtive them the down p[ayment, but my mo told me even if you go to small claims coiurt and win, you rarely s the monrey you won.

hey, I got a question, they told me it was an RS they were pretty sure of, but when i called them it has power windows, power steering, A/C. I thought an RS came with nothing power. and then it doesnt have moon roof or power D/L, buyt il do aftremarket motors or somehting, but what mopdel is this, I thought LS came with roof also? so is it an RS with the power option or something like thatt. well, I almost got them talked into letting me have the car from only my D/P and get to drive it whuile i still owe on it, so at least ill know what is goinon to my car while i have partly paid. I am stil;l looking for somewhere to get a full cash loan, im gonna try a friend and an uncle tomorrow, i go look saturday and get it tuesday if i like it.


I am going to spend about 10k total, and if i have to do payments, i will give them full price since it is a good deal and supposdly lots are intereste in and they could probably ge6t cash later on and i want this car. anfd if i get cash ill give them like 6,500 or 7k cash.
so far I am going to get white guages, new shift knob, pedals, type r spoiler, also, it has the front upper strut bsar already, should i get all 4? the front lower and rear upper and lower, will it help alot? if so i might. over summer ill be in CA and get custom dual exhaust for about 100 bucks, alarm,remote start, remote windows up and down, remote hatch, AEM tru power pulleys, all hoses wrapped in red loom. calipers painted red. red underbody lights. also, I might get a 50 shot of N20, mayeb zex or NX, not sure. I reallly REALLY hope that I end up woith this car. a few freinds of mine are starting a car club, nothing great, but just everybody has a nice sticker or somehting, but ill have about the best car if i get it.


any ohter ideas of what to do?

that car is one of the ugliest cars i've laid eyes on...

i wouldn't spend so much on the power features (windows, hatch) and such, as they add a bit of unneeded weight...personally, i don't like underbody lgiths, but to each his own...also, read the dual exhaust threads in here...you may lose power by having dual exhaust. I think it sounds like an ls...but i'm not sure...

00typer, how come? is it the bumper or what? is it because of no spoiler, i will get one, I think it is a bit funny looking without a spoiler. also, I have heard that you need to keep back pressure so i need to stay with a smaller diameter pipe, like i heard dont go biggger than 2.5 wiht single so il stay with 2" for dual. this guy who owns the muffler man knows what they are doing. also, what mufflers aregood for the LOUD when accelerating, but when you are just cruising they have a veryt mild tone, but deep sounding?

how much are those retail?

I know when i was at the shop, I had my mustang and was gonna get dual exhaust, and i could get flomaster pros for like 35 bucks a peice. are these comprable in price. and i searched dual exhaust and some said dont do it but some dsaid if it ids done right then it will woprk, and as long as i stay like 1.75-2" pipe on both sides, i wont loose back pressure. Ill probabl;y have them run liie a 2.25 inch pipe for a few feet tyhen split it off to to 1.75" pipes to a coup[le of the fireballs if that shop can get them. is 1.75 too small though, it sounds too small for single, but for duial it sounds right to me but im not an expert. I go sand lok tomorrow and hopefully it goes like i want it to. If it checks out I should have it tuesday, Ill post soime more pics if i get it.




and typer, i still wanna know what oyu dont like abouyt it. so far everyone i know i showed it to likes it, is it because thew no spoiler makes it lookm like it is an unfinished project or what?
