ect switch

Hey guys, I've noticed my dad switching the ect switch on/off quite often. For example on a highway he switches it on and when he's done he takes it of.

Is this ok for the transmission?

Technically it just causes it to redline before changing gears, but changing modes so often can't be good, can it?

It's fine. This button simply changes the shift points for the transmission.

Re: ect switch

When engaged, the transmission shifts later, allowing the engine to get to a higher power level and accelerate faster. Kills your gas, but otherwise it's a very useful tool.
