How hard it is to put on valve cover gaskets on a 3.0 v6? Does the intake have to come off? It is my sisters van and I'm trying to decide if I want to tackle it myself for her or not.

The difficulty is not in replacing the valve cover gaskets, but the cam shaft seals, where the oil is more than likely coming from. If you still want to try the vc gaskets, the two acorn nuts are all that holds the covers on. No need to remove anything else, except maybe the plug wire retainers.
