hey i was wondering if any of you had any views on the electronic ignition kits that you can put on these cars my dad wants to switch mine over so we dont have to worry about points and condensors and all that and also what about a/c in volkswagons do i have to go aftermarket and is so where should i look

Petronics makes an electronic pickup coil to replace the points with. Kits about 50 bucks. Just remove points and install pickup in same place.

you can get the hole kit... the ignition box..the dist. and the coil and you will notice a big diff.
