Alarm while starting engine

When I start my 528i, I get an alarm while I start the engine and it last for a couple of seconds then stops. There are no lights on the dash lit and problems that I am aware of. Does anyone have any idea what the alarm is about and how to correct. Any info appreciated. Thanks Doug

your alam may be too sensitive. You could try regulating it. There is a control box for it.

Sounds like a 'check control' alert [look at the display and see what monitored system is faulting].
The problem is there are two Cluster Levels, 'High' that has a alpha/numeric matrix in the instrument cluster and a 'Low' cluster that has a 'pictogram' of hte car in the lower left side of the cluster. See if you notice a 'lamp' or such display when you here the warning gong. It could be just a light bulb out.
