AC Blowing Fuses

My sons '99 S10 keep blowing fuses (10A). I unplugged the compressor and it still blows the fuse but the blower still runs. Any ideas? Anyone have a schematic so that I can trace the wires?

Thanks

Dave

I just experienced the same thing. Follow the two wires off the compressor back toward the firewall. You will have to remove the air box. I bet you will find the wires are chaffing just as they go under a return pipe on the engine block. Someone else had the exact same thing and that is how I found out about it.
good luck and post back if that was the problem
