This is my Mach 1 rocket concept for HONU's competition. I don’t know if anyone else’s doing it, but I just did it for fun really, so it doesn’t matter. Done in Photoshop. Everything is completely hand drawn (yes even the planet), except the tyres, but even those are heavily edited. Sorry the picture’s a bit small.

What do you think? Thanks,

Ross.

There the rocket flames. The planet was from a tutorial, I'll try and find it and post it sometime.

Umm dude, it was supposed to be on earth. Maybe, you should wait for the rules. It's cool and I am not trying to give you a hard time, but that technically wouldn't be accepted. Sorry...I can PM the rules for the contest if you want to do one ahead of time....just say so..

Its only a WIP. I can just change the Earth to look like the Moon, Then add some trees or whatever.

no, but I mean that looks like a mars rover with a rocket attached. I mean take in consideration that at mach 1, the pressure is about 1000 lbs. per square inch. I mean, a normal type vehicle like that would be crushed. I meen aerodynamics. Like big time, smooth, stable rocket powered beasts that can reach 500 mph in 4 seconds! Aerodynamics is the key to getting entered into this contest. So do your research. Rent Landspeed, or look up Thrust SSC....That is what I mean by aerodynamics!

OK, It was only a bit of fun, I was going to do a few different ones anyway.

ya no way that'd go mach 1 easily but it's still cool

Ok cool. As long as that wasn't your entry. I Mean don't publically post entries untill the contest begins. Remember when this is a design comp. That means useing your own ideas. So don't let others steal them...LP is right. It's cool but not mach 1 quality...
