When I initially step on the throttle, it sticks and then will let loose and the blazer will drive like normal. The throttle has just begun to stick within the last few months. Is there a grease zert or some other way of lubricating the throttle cable to free up its stickyness?
Go buy a can of throttle body cleaner, the butterfly is probably gummed up with carbon. If that doesn't work, you will have to replace the throttle cable.
Mine did the same thing - There is an adjustment screw just above the area where the throttle cable connects to the throttle body that acts as a stop for the throttle body butterfly. What has happened is the butterfly is closing too hard into the throat of the throttle body and binding a bit, adjust the set screw to just keep it from 'seating' into the throat.
